Summary

In this position you will serve as a District Asset Forfeiture Coordinator responsible for managing all asset forfeiture activities within the assigned district including coordinating all phases of the asset forfeiture process including pre-seizure planning, custody, and disposition.

This position is located in the Asset Forfeiture Unit of the Southern District of New York / New York, NY.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.

To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the following:

Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
  1. Providing technical advice and assistance to property management specialists on the management and disposition of seized assets;
  2. Supporting peer to peer audits to ensure overall audit readiness;
  3. Advising team leads on the status of assigned program activities and routine technical matters;
  4. Implementing new or improved operational methods and practices; AND
  5. Reviewing the work of contract personnel to ensure performance measures are met.
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must meet the following:

Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
  1. Providing technical advice and assistance to program managers on the management and disposition of seized assets;
  2. Supporting third-party audits to ensure overall audit compliance;
  3. Advising program managers on the status of all program activities complex or controversial technical matters;
  4. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of operational methods and practices; AND
  5. Reviewing the work of contract personnel to ensure performance measures are met.
