Job Description

About Us

One Medical is a primary care platform challenging the industry status quo by making quality care more affordable, accessible and enjoyable. But this isn’t your average doctor’s office. We’re on a mission to radically transform healthcare, which means tackling the frustrations of everyone involved — from patients and providers to employers and health networks.

Across the country, our members enjoy seamless access to comprehensive care at more than 180 locations across 28 cities (and counting!) as well as 24/7 access to virtual care powered by intelligent uses of technology. In addition to a direct-to-consumer membership model, we work with more than 7,000 companies to provide One Medical health benefits to their employees.

On January 31, 2020 we marked a milestone with our public listing on Nasdaq, but our work is far from over. As we continue to grow and broaden our impact, we’re building a diverse, driven and empathetic team, while working hard to cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive.

The Opportunity

As we continue to expand and transform the primary care experience, we’re looking for energetic and passionate leaders of the people, processes, and technology that make One Medical unique. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Operations for the West, as the District Manager you’ll be responsible for meeting One Medical patient promises of outstanding quality of care, access, and service at an affordable cost. You’ll ensure One Medical is a great experience for both patients and team members across all present & future offices in the Portland District. Portland presently has five offices - Downtown Portland, Pearl District, North Williams, Tigard, and Cedar Hills. In concert with the local medical director, you are there to support the team, remove barriers, drive results, and keep the business healthy - all while ensuring the highest levels of quality and service for our patients.

Healthcare is a people business built on relationships. You’ll be key in building these with your local team, the central teams, and with patients. You’ll have to balance multiple stakeholders and drive performance across a diverse team.  You are a strong team leader and innovative problem-solver, with a love for service and a passion for changing healthcare. You are skilled in people management, excel in communication and can navigate complexity and ambiguity with courage and grace.

  • Be the partner and representative of your district needs to our central teams (Finance, Operations, Marketing, Strategy, Sales) to equip your district team members with the skills and resources needed to succeed
  • Manage communication with context between offices, districts, regional, and central teams
  • Build and develop an engaged and empowered team of office managers and administrators. Develop a strong bench team, ready to take on the next opportunity as we grow!

 What you’ll need:

  • 4+ years’ relevant experience managing high-performing teams with at least 2 years managing managers
  • 2+ years’ experience in operations and process management
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment strongly preferred
