RER Solutions, Inc is accepting resumes for a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist position. The Diversity and Inclusion Specialist will provide onsite program support to our Federal client in Washington, DC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with the Supervisory Diversity & Inclusion Specialist to create, develop, and implement D&I programs and services while supporting the Agency in fulfilling the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion(OMWI) requirements, as outlined in Section 342 of the Dodd-Frank Act
  • Assist in setting Diversity and Inclusion performance outcomes and standards
  • Collect and analyze data, develop metrics, and provide monitoring and reporting systems producing an annual report to Congress containing required elements outlined in Section 342, and evaluating the Agency and its partners' overall progress in its efforts
  • Advise and consult with Agency managers and others on matters related to Diversity & Inclusion, employee engagement, and supplier diversity activities
  • Play a visible role in outreach, education, and community partnerships, including participating in an annual Industry Forum for area practitioners focused on the intersection between Diversity & Inclusion and talent management practice
  • Work with the Office of Human Resource Management (OHRM) and the Learning Academy to develop, analyze and determine Agency-wide training needs and develop, implement, and evaluate training programs
  • Partner with OHRM with Agency-wide talent acquisition by recruiting at colleges and universities and sponsoring and recruiting at job fairs in urban communities
  • Assist in managing the Agency's supplier diversity program by working directly with divisions and offices in setting procurement goals with women-, minority-, and disabled-owned vendors for goods and services
  • Work with all "active" vendors in assessing their compliance with our "Good Faith Effort" policy and procedures as part of the Agency's overall Diversity & Inclusion goals.
  • Work closely with the Agency's Special Emphasis coordinator
  • Attend OMWI staff meetings and may be required to perform basic administrative support, such as photocopying and scanning, and assist with logistics for training presentations, including compiling training materials. Provide regular updates to the Supervisory D&I Specialist regarding related assigned projects and activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client issued Public Trust
  • Has a broad understanding of the EEO policies and procedures and how they intersect with our D&I efforts
  • 3 to 5 years experience in private or public sector contract administration, purchasing, vendor management with a focus on supplier diversity, procurement card, accounting, finance, or a closely related field
  • 3 to 5 years in minority talent recruitment and outreach/training
  • 5 years of similar experience in either D&I or civil rights/EEO office
  • 5 years of federal government contracting/procurement experiences with a focus on supplier diversity/minority business spending
  • 5 years of similar work experience in a federal government setting is a plus
  • Minimum of three years in private or public sector contract administrations, purchasing, vendor management experience focusing on supplier diversity, procurement card, accounting, finance, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of three years in minority talent recruitment and outreach/training
  • Skill in conducting meetings with employees and management to obtain necessary results when the interests and/or emotions of the parties may not be aligned
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
