Community Health Network has an excellent internship opportunity available within our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion department. Applicants must be currently enrolled in higher education, healthcare major preferred.

Make a difference

The Diversity Equity and Inclusion intern will work with the Community Outreach and Engagement Project Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to facilitate and promote fair inclusive and welcoming procedures throughout the network through data analysis and presence at Network and community functions.

  • Update supplier diversity spreadsheet accordingly.
  • Prepare monthly spend reports and keep track of data on the monthly spend file.
  • Organize supply inventory and keep inventory sheets updated.
  • Prepare videos/pictures to be posted on incomm for events
  • Receive incoming packages
  • Assist with projects specific to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Greatly assist in planning/coordinating events such as IBMHF, Latino Expo, PRIDE, etc.
  • Retrieve and input data from DEI events (screening forms, etc.)
  • Collaborate on projects unique to the DEI Department
  • Be knowledgeable in DEI and be prepared to share information when needed/asked
  • Be on the lookout for process improvement initiatives (lean)
  • Update the calendars with new events/event cancellations
  • Assist in Ordering Office 360 office & program supplies
  • Manage Volunteer T-shirt distribution All events/activities/programs
  • Manage volunteer sign in sheets for Serve 360 credit
  • Assist with IBMHF participant mailing results & returns
  • Monitor volunteer registrations
  • Provide weekly updates of volunteer sign ups
  • All other tasks assigned

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled at a college or university.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Planning and analytical skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Team oriented and customer focused.
  • Professional and ethical demeanor at all times.
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Suite products.

Additional Information

This intern position will require up to 40 hours per week with a commitment during the hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday for the length of the assignment. This position is non-benefited.
