Role Snapshot
The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of four key components. WPS interns will primarily focus on the responsibilities within their functional areas, as it relates to their respective field of study. In a group setting, interns will collaborate on the "Pay-It-Forward Project" - the development of a resource to be utilized for future program participants. The third component relates to exposure to corporate culture and training to aid in future career successes. At the conclusion of the program, interns will participate in a final presentation for senior executives by showcasing their experience in the program and functional areas.
The DEI team develops strategy and inform innovative, cutting-edge initiatives to make DEI a part of our systems, behaviors, and how we work. Drive a deeper understanding and knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) concepts and the application of best practices through education, business consultation, strategic partnerships, diverse and inclusive people pipeline, and leadership development.
What you will do as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern:
- Administer facets of the day-to-day operations of the various programs and activities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Complete project-based tasks to support the overall DEI strategy.
- Craft communications and a continual communication strategy for diversity, equity, and inclusion - including writing articles for the intranet.
- Work with the employee resource groups to assist with diversity, equity, and inclusion program planning and execution.
- Perform demographic data analysis, including trend and correlation analysis. This includes comparison to industry trends.
- Bring energy, sense of humor, and unique talents to everything you do and create an environment where others look forward to working with you to make a difference.

Minimum Qualifications
- Be currently pursuing a degree in higher education or recent graduate
- Have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or any degree with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace.
- Top-tier academic performance
- Demonstrated passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through previous paid or volunteer roles.
- Desire to learn and grow, with an openness to making mistakes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical (Excel) and problem-solving skills, and an ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Demonstrated leadership ability and track record of success in team environment.
- Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with many different activities and projects happening simultaneously.
