Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Subject Matter Expert
The Position:
We are seeking a part-time / 1099 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Subject Matter Expert to support the Office of the Administrator at the General Services Administration (GSA) by fulfilling Administration priorities related to DEIA. Some examples of responsibilities include:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of client issues, needs, and context related to Administration priorities and mandates (Specifically in the area of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA))
- Share insights, results, and recommendations in a comprehensible manner through both written presentations/reports and interactions with teams/clients
- Conduct detailed analytics, research, and benchmarking into DEIA priorities identified by the
Office of the Administrator / Deputy Administrator and provide recommendations and
implementation as requested. - Analyze and interpret policy, design strategies to address emerging requirements, and
develop solutions associated with ongoing priorities such as the President's Management Agenda, executive orders, and new legislative mandates - Provide drafting, strategy writing, and project management services related to updating and
deploying the GSA Equity Action Plan. Support to include development of materials for and participation in briefings with the White House Interagency Policy Committee on Equity and coordination among GSA working groups responsible for the five key strategies in the Plan. - Provide implementation support, project management, and metrics capture associated with the GSA DEIA Strategic Plan.
- Review progress made to date on the initiatives laid out in the current DEIA Strategic Plan;
- Update goals, objectives, strategies, and metrics as needed;
- Develop plans for implementation for new strategies and initiatives.
- Support implementation of the DEIA Maturity Model in collaboration with PIOs across GSA
- Administer the DEIA SES Self-Assessment and gather lessons
learned; administer the DEIA Maturity Model Assessment GSA-wide; collect and analyze data from the assessment; and develop enterprise DEIA maturity performance metrics based on the results of the assessment;
- Administer the DEIA SES Self-Assessment and gather lessons
- Develop and deliver related training to support advancing DEIA performance measurement and update the associated toolkit/playbook; and manage stakeholder engagement and communication processes.
- Work with client stakeholders and working groups to develop process maps, project plans, and identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement
- Develop program collateral in the Google Suite, including Google Documents, Google Slides, and Google Sheets

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Social Sciences, Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience with implementing federal DEIA initiatives, DEIA policy analysis, strategic planning, and supporting executive leadership on DEIA-related projects.
- Experience within the General Services Administration (GSA)Â highly valued
- Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance
- In-depth understanding of DEIA principles, frameworks, and best practices, including experience with the DEIA Maturity Model and other assessment tools.
- Proven experience analyzing and interpreting policies, and designing strategies to address emerging requirements.
- Experience developing and delivering training to government officials.Â
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail related to project management and task/deadline tracking
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) and other relevant software for program development and data analysis.

The Location:
Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., but this role is fully remote.Â
The Fine Print:
- Expected travel 0-10%; may increase based on business needsÂ
- This is an exempt, part-time position, paid hourly. The pay range is $50-100/hour. Candidates open to a 1099 arrangement encouraged to apply.Â

- Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
