What you will do
As a member of the Global office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion you will work collaboratively with team members in creating a sustainable environment that is inclusive and equitable for all JCI employees. Supports diversity and inclusion initiatives and assists the Diversity & Inclusion Global office with executing relevant strategies, which benefit all employees.
How you will do it
- Assist with research, planning, and implementation of strategic DEI initiatives by supporting the analysis of data, streamlining processes, and generating reports.
- Support document management, including updating DEI learning resources, maintaining files and support tools
- Research and provide recommendations on resources for building and retaining diverse talent
- Assist with employee engagement activities including supporting Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and community service activities
- Update and maintain various sections of the diversity & inclusion intranet and website pages (including the events calendar, the language on programs and partnerships, photo galleries, etc.)
- Contribute positively to a work environment that emphasizes teamwork, respect for differences, and accepting and giving constructive feedback
- Support additional special projects on an Ad hoc basis
What we look for
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree Program or an accredited program for Human Resources
- Maintenance of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- U.S. Citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Products
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
- Strong oral and written communication, organization, and time management skills
- Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and analytical
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest and experience in diversity and inclusion or human resources
