Diversity Talent Scout/Talent Sourcer
Lilly is seeking a Talent Scout/Sourcer who shares our passion to make life better for people around the world. As part of our Talent Acquisition team, you will work closely with recruiters and hiring managers and play an integral part in shaping Lilly's future by identifying and attracting talent to the company. This role will be an extremely instrumental part of our sourcing and recruiting efforts to help build our talent and leadership pipeline for diverse/underrepresented populations and hard-to-staff positions.
The Talent Scout will function as a search and subject matter expert, responsible for working with recruiters and hiring managers to locate and attract talent to Lilly through lead generation, expert sourcing strategies, and the ability to research the employment market for a given functional focus. The Talent Scout will function as a search and subject matter expert, responsible for working with recruiters and hiring managers to locate and attract talent to Lilly through lead generation, expert sourcing strategies, and the ability to research the employment market for a given functional focus. Other activities include:
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within community and multicultural-based organizations, initially focused on sourcing Latinx and unrepresented groups within functional areas at Lilly.
- Creating strategies and plans to source talent for various business areas/functions and within Lilly.
- Attending relevant career fairs to attract diverse talent, brand Lilly and develop new talent sources.
- Outreach to local and national diversity associations and organizations for active and passive referrals.
- Working as liaison to Employee Resource Groups to improve employee referrals, sourcing, and inclusion of diverse employees in the recruiting process.
- Oversite and the management of career fairs and recruiting conferences
- Sourcing candidates utilizing LinkedIn, job boards, niche websites, internet searches, CRM systems, and other passive candidate generation techniques.
- Providing and utilizing labor market intelligence and recruitment trends to improve diversity sourcing.
- Leveraging social media and social recruiting techniques to attract diverse talent and brand Lilly.
- Managing sourcing and recruitment vendors.
- Meeting and exceeding annual, and monthly diversity sourcing objectives to include, but are not limited to, leads, contacts, candidates, diversity metrics and hires.
- Proficient in utilizing technologies to track all leads, contacts, candidates, etc. and leverages systems to continuously build a talent pool.
- Experience in sourcing across Corporate Functions, Manufacturing & Engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- 2 or more years of related experience in talent sourcing, recruiting or human resources
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
- Bilingual- Spanish language proficiency is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Workday and/or similar Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail
- Possess a disciplined work style with the ability to show comparable urgency with proactive work as with deadline-driven work
- Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities while demonstrating flexibility and resilience
- Sourcing experience including internet research, search engines, Boolean search knowledge, x-ray search, data mining and cold calling.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with the time investment in proactive strategic relationship-building efforts and stakeholder management.
- Experience in Diversity & Inclusion talent acquisition strategies in the US.
- Running large-scale sourcing projects.
