Job Summary

Novice level analyst position responsible for performing clerical, data entry and research duties for the Division Order Department related to the correct and prompt establishment and maintenance of record title ownership to Continental Resources' producing properties. The Division Order Analyst I will assume greater levels of responsibility through time and experience.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating record title ownership of producing properties in a specific geographic area through detailed analysis of title opinions, leases, assignments, deeds, probates, farm-out agreements, operating agreements and other legal documents
  • Determine ownership through laws of descent and distribution/intestate succession when appropriate
  • Initiate pay code changes and ownership transfers of novice complexity within SAP
  • Assist senior level division order analysts with research and data entry
  • Research and respond to phone calls, emails and written inquiries from interest owners in a timely manner
  • Prepare Division Orders and Transfer Orders accurately and promptly
  • Create division order files and file documentation

  • A general computer expertise is required with substantial word processing, spreadsheet experience and ability to accurately perform simple to intermediate math functions

  • Must be attentive to detail with good organizational and time management skills


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1+ years of recent, relevant experience with an active oil and gas exploration company
  • Requires novice level knowledge of land concepts and division order responsibilities
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with major in Law, Energy Management or Business from an accredited college or university
  • Experienced with land data systems such as SAP, QLS, etc.


Physical Requirements
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
