DMTS - PHY Serdes Specialist
Job Description

We're looking for a DMTS - PHY Serdes Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for high speed Serdes(PCie/MPHY) design and testing, work with IP vendors for staging external PHY IPs, and bring up/test/characterize PHY IP in silicon. Provide the guidance and oversee the internal PHY development.
Requirements:
- Play a key technical role in developing and verifying PCIe PHY
- High speed serdes silicon bring up and compatibility test with host chipset
- Lead debugging PHY issues
- Work closely with various teams (e.g. Layout, Logical Design, Physical Design, Firmware, and Design Verification)
- Ensure successful cross-team engagement and high-quality execution
- Work with SI/PI, package, HW teams for SI/PI simulation to confirm IP validity
- Work with PTE team for PHY ATE pattern coverage and failure
- Work with IP vendors to stage next gen PCIe PHY
- Technical guide for next gen UFS MPHY development
- Present PHY issues and activities to PDT and Executives
Qualification:
- Solid knowledge in fundamental analog design techniques
- High-speed SerDes design (signaling/equalization techniques, analog/mixed-signal circuit design, and signal integrity) experience
- Familiarity with advanced, deep submicron semiconductor technologies (FinFET technology a plus)
- Solid knowledge of industry-standard tools and practices for analog/mixed-signal and high-speed digital designs (e.g., HSPICE simulator, Cadence design environment)
- Analytical thinking and inventive spirit in combination with a solid understanding of risks and risk mitigation
- Strong/effective communication skills
- Extensive 15+ years of experience in PCIe PHY and MPHY design
- Masters degree required, PhD preferred
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$207,000.00 - $363,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
