POSITION SUMMARY
The Documentation and Registration Specialist is a member of the Foreign Investor Registration and Documentation Team in the Network Management Department. The Foreign Investor Registration and Documentation (FIRD) Team is responsible for managing the market investment approval and account opening processes for markets that require foreign investor registration and/or documentation requirements to open cash and securities accounts or avail of preferential tax treatment.
The FIRD Team members liaise with BBH client servicing groups, external clients, and subcustodian providers to assist clients in completing the market requirements to enable investment in a timely, efficient manner.
The Documentation Specialist will assist team members with documentation processing and handling, database maintenance, and general departmental and team support functions. The position requires individuals with a high degree of initiative, organization, accuracy, and client service skills.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Foreign Investor Registration/Processing
- Maintain database reflecting changes in status for current market registration approvals and/or account opening processes.
- Produce cover letters and shipping materials, as required for sending documentation materials.
- Prepare documentation for submission to sub custodians and local markets, including copying, faxing, scanning, etc.
- Maintain Team's files for documentation.
- Maintain Team's Registration Kits on BBH website.
- Perform account reconciliations, projects and related duties as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- BA/BS degree or 1 to 2 years equivalent experience preferred.
Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
- Ability to prioritize heavy workload, work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours, when necessary.
