Dock and Door Technician/Gate Technician

We ensure that our clients receive reliable solutions for their gate and garage door needs. Summary We are seeking a skilled Overhead Door and/or Automated Gate Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of panel, high lift, and rolling steel doors, automated gates, hydraulic and mechanical dock equipment including dock levelers, cardboard balers and compactors, low voltage access control systems, and telephone entry units. Responsibilities • Install and repair residential and commercial gates and panel/rolling steel doors and openers. Repair small mechanical/hydraulic equipment. • Read blueprints and technical documents to determine installation specifications. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations. • Perform routine maintenance checks on gate systems to ensure optimal performance. • Troubleshoot electrical issues related access control as needed. • Lift heavy equipment and materials as required for installations or repairs. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently. Requirements • Proven experience as a Automated Gate /Door Technician or similar role is preferred. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings preferred. • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. • Basic electrical knowledge. • Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the job requirements. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
