Please note that we are NOT currently offering sponsorship for this position and all applicants must be currently based in the Chicago-land area or willing to relocate. This position is “in-office” for at least 90 days and then eligible for a hybrid schedule based on performance milestones.

Job Description

The Documentation and Training Specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for both our internal teams and our external clients. This role involves creating educational materials, conducting training sessions, and ensuring that our staff and clients have the knowledge and skills needed to maximize the value of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate onboarding training for new hires on the ALIS system during their initial weeks of employment.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs for both internal teams and external clients, including onboarding, product training, sales techniques, and best practices.

  • Conduct engaging and informative training sessions, workshops, and webinars for internal sales teams and external customers. Tailor content to meet the specific needs of diverse audiences.

  • Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and challenges, providing them with the tools, resources, and training required to effectively sell our products and services.

  • Create high-quality training materials, including presentations, user guides, video tutorials, and e-learning modules that support the learning objectives.

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics. Continuously improve training materials and methods based on feedback and results.

  • Partner with product managers, customer support teams, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date on product features, updates, and customer needs.

  • Maintain a repository of training materials and resources that can be easily accessed by both the internal teams and external clients. Share best practices and insights with the broader team.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in training and documentation, help desk support, or a related field. Experience in SaaS or technology industries is preferred.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs and materials. Ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques, with the ability to provide actionable insights and support to sales teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with a variety of training tools and platforms 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools 

  • Certification in instructional design or adult education.

  • Experience in a customer-facing role or customer support
