Job Summary:

ELS, Inc. has an opportunity to support NAVSEA PEO SHIPS LCS Shipbuilding Program Office (PMS 501). We are looking for a motivated, responsible, articulate individual to support shipbuilding production and post-delivery engineering & planning efforts.

Description: 

• Mid- Level Engineer (5-10 years relevant experience) may be assigned a variety of tasks, requiring ability to independently solve problems, as well as contribute as a teammate.
• Navigate shipyard hazards and conduct shipboard tours
• Possess the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and auxiliary system issues
• Assess / audit various contractor and shipbuilding programs & processes
• Ability to Critically Think
• Effectively communicate - verbally and in written form with Contract Task Lead, Government Customer and ELS, Inc Supervisor
• Prioritize and multi-task; provide follow-up upon completed tasks
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Adobe
• Facilitate both in person and virtual meetings

Work Location: (HYBRID) Washington Navy Yard Maritime Plaza I with Telework Opportunity

Requirements: 

• US Citizen
• Secret Clearance
• No physical limitations precluding climbing/descending ladders; entering confined shipboard spaces
• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering
• 5-10 prior years of engineering related work

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years NAVSEA shipbuilding experience
• LCS Variant experience

Work Status: Full time; in office presence with telework opportunity.
