Our exciting and growing business is looking for exceptional Downsizing Specialists to work with our clients throughout the Triangle area. Downsizing Specialists assist in creating a compassionate, efficient, and positive experience for each of our customers.Â
The Downsizers is the leading full-service move management team in the Triangle, specializing in serving the senior community and individuals in transition.Â
We proudly serve the entire Triangle region (including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Durham, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Hillsborough, Fuquay-Varina, and surrounding areas). The Downsizers work in private homes, apartment complexes and senior communities.
Many of our projects are physically demanding and occur under tight deadlines. Some projects take place under emotional and challenging situations. Candidates need to be adaptable and compassionate.
The Downsizing Specialist will support the Downsizing Manager/Project Manager, as well as work with a team of other Specialists through completion of the project. This will include all facets of move management services (including sorting, packing, unpacking, and organizing personal items as well loading and unloading of company vans).

Through our proprietary system, PLAN - SORT - PACK - SETTLE, our team works with a variety of client projects and situations to help the emotional and physical challenges of sorting through memories, downsizing, moving, liquidating belongings, and working with family members throughout the entire process.Â
Job Description
Our Downsizing Specialists provide the following services:
- Work with Downsizing Manager to implement customized Move Plan and Timeline for all client projectsÂ
- Prepare for projects by reviewing project, team and client notes (candidates must be detail-oriented and also critical thinkers)Â
- Responsible for driving 14-ft ProMaster High-Roof Van (candidate needs to feel comfortable driving large van)Â
- Responsible for loading/unloading supplies before and after projects
- Provide highest level of client service
- Assist clients to determine which items to keep, donate, gift, sell, or discard
- Professionally pack all items, coordinate with movers, and assist with unpacking and getting client settled in their new home
- Initiate and maintain communication with Downsizing Manager throughout engagement
- Utilize project management tools for timely completion of move
- Complete online, in-office, and on-site trainings
- Participate in Team Meetings
- Provide feedback to Downsizing Manager for the best possible service to clients
Qualifications

- Flexible Scheduling - This role is part-time (varying hours week-to-week), but can average up to 30+ hours per weeks. We require 4 days of availability per week. With advance planning, you can easily take vacations as needed or time off to be with your family.Â
