Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create models, drawings, and bills of materials for mechanical and electrical systems using AutoCAD & Inventor (or similar).
- Utilize ERP system (SAP or similar) to create part numbers, item descriptions, and bill of materials.
- Collaborate with Engineers and the Production Team to create and review drawings.Β
- Communicate with team members regarding project scope and project status.
- Check drawings against standards and project requirements
- Complies with all Sensia and local procedures applicable to the job function including; Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety, and Environmental
- Employees may be assigned other duties, in addition to, or in lieu of those described above, according to the needs of the location or Company
Previous Experience, Skills, and Competencies:
- Education: Associateβs degree in Drafting
- Experience: Three to five years experience working in AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks or Creo or Solid Edge, and Microsoft Office
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical modeling, electrical modeling, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and manufacturing processes
- Attention to detail & the ability to self-check work is a must
- Problem-solving experience
- Excellent team building, leadership, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- An ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels of the organization with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality.
- Self-driven with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Can function independently and in a team setting
- Strong decision-making skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Understanding of ERP software systems. Preferably SAP.
Organizational Compliance:
- Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.
- Remain current with required safety training & ensure employees are adhering to safety expectations (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol training, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving).
