Drafting Specialist

Reporting to the Principal Engineer you will provide design support creating site layouts; piping and instrumentation diagrams; 2D and 3D drawings; equipment plan views and elevations; and parts/assembly drawings. You'll work with the Engineering team to develop preliminary and final design plans and details.

Position Responsibilities

• Work with Conagra engineers to focus on drafting site layouts to support feasibility studies, detailed design, and project execution.
• Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations.
• Confirm existing drawings of Conagra facilities are accurate; modify those that aren't. This will require becoming familiar with the associated facilities.
• Maintain Master Drawing Sharepoint Site - work with plants and project teams to load drawings to the site.
• Update and maintain Conagra title blocks and templates. Ensure project teams use the latest title block.
• Use AutoCAD for drafting.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams

Position Qualifications

• Associate degree required
• Minimum 1 year experience in CAD production/drafting
• Must have general knowledge of engineering principles and materials for drafting
• Experience reading and understanding construction documents
• Drafting skills in AutoCAD required
• Familiar with 3D software or willing to learn
• Intermediate skills Excel (can perform complex functions), and Sharepoint.
• Experience converting 2D drawings to 3D desired.
• High level of accuracy and attention to details.
• Travel to Conagra site, 25% to take dimensions and perform layout work.
