Draftsman, Creative Production - Part Time, REMOTE

Job Summary:

The draftsman, Creative Production is responsible for supporting the Design Director, Senior Creative Director, and Creative Production team with all floor plans, spatial plans, and floor plan edits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft floor plans and make floor plan edits via AutoCAD for prospective venues based on the needs of the Creative Production team and its external vendors
• Review venue supplied drawings for accuracy based on spaces as-built condition and adjust drawings as needed to create an accurate base plan.
•  Support the planning, documentation, and execution of all assigned Creative Production activations
• Equip fabrication vendors, consulting vendors, and internal teams with measurements for creative elements
• Ensure designs are compliant with building regulations, fire codes, ADA guidelines, and Superfly best practices
• Travel to venues during site visits and site load ins for several days at a time when needed
• Survey existing conditions of a space to create accurate existing condition drawings
• Assist in producing drawings for on-site labor for the placement of flooring, modular walls and scenic elements to ensure compliance to design drawings
• Assist the Creative Production team with the installation of activations and experiences
• Field questions and offer advice to team members to assist with architectural problem solving
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the load in process is running smoothly
• Report project statuses weekly and flag possible issues and discrepancies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2-4 years professional experience working in Autodesk AutoCAD
• Intimate knowledge of CAD best practices, organization, file management, and drawing workflow
• Undergraduate degree preferred in architecture, engineering, or other applicable trades
• Strong written and verbal skills and detail oriented
• Knowledge and ability to survey and generate floor plans in the field
• Knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator a plus (not required)
• Excellent teamwork and problem solving skills
• Self starter and able to manage time
• Critical thinking and organizational skills
