Draw Review Specialist

About the Job

We are seeking a draw review specialist to join the rapidly growing Debt Team who will be responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments. The draw servicing specialist will maintain complex financial analyses, create/evaluate monthly reports, update and maintain Lender specific budget trackers and perform reviews of construction pay applications and invoices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of debt investments across various property types
• Review monthly draw requests for completeness and compliance with loan documents including review of budgets, back-up documentation, title updates, and inspection reports
• Communicate with borrowers to obtain missing documentation, or to ask questions needed to resolve an open item
• Review contractor payment applications and lien waivers
• Manage multiple construction budgets and review any balance issues
• Coordinate with treasury department for cash management functions
• Perform additional ad-hoc analysis, as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to read and analyze investment, lease, loan and management agreements
• Ability to audit and review project budgets for discrepancies
• Dynamic team player with strong integrity, a high degree of professionalism and the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment including:
• Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excessive attention to detail, outstanding initiative and an eagerness to learn with a strong work ethic
• Completion of a high level of work within tight timeframes and successfully managing competing deadlines
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with limited direct guidance

Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

• Asset-level analytics: Providing quantitative and qualitative investment- and portfolio-level performance reports by consolidating and analyzing monthly operating statements produced by operating partners to track and monitor performance against initial underwriting;
• Active Asset Management Support: The team works closely with Acquisition Teams to help monitor all strategic and joint-venture operating partners on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include weekly leasing calls, monthly operational reviews, annual budget and business plan reviews and financial analysis;
• Investment and Fund-level Reforecasting: BWAM is responsible for creating proprietary investment-level valuation models for the portfolio to enhance our ability to reforecast investment-and fund-level performance on a routine basis.
