Drayage Account Manager

Job Summary:

The Drayage Account Manager is responsible for securing and developing new business within existing accounts for Cardinal Logistics. The position calls for a highly-motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced work environment as they will be responsible for supporting a wide range of existing customers and their drayage needs requests. The goal of this role is to continually engage with Cardinal Clients to uncover opportunity and service it at the highest levels. This individual will report to the Manager of Drayage Operations.

Essential Functions:

• Build, nurture and grow existing customer relationships
• Solicit additional freight opportunities from current customers
• Manage all account communication in a timely and professional manner
• Provide useful and timely updates during shipment lifecycles
• Assist customers in identifying services that fit their needs and provide information on additional services
• Actively manage follow up of opportunities within existing accounts
• Source capacity to meet customer needs
• Complete pricing requests and customer bids
• Provide creative solutions for complex transportation situations as they arise
• Work directly with operations to support customer accounts

Other Requirements:

• Reports to Manager of Drayage Operations
• 1-2  years in Drayage or Intermodal operations
• Four year degree required
• Self-starter, growth minded and entrepreneurial
