Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in new product development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing and existing product support, individually and collaboratively.
- Manage field testing of new products and help implementation of design improvements.
- Analyze tool performance data and prepare and present to internal and/or external customers, create/present performance summaries, and outstanding run reports.
- Oversee and conduct field analysis for failed tool investigation and coordinate with Sales and SQ Group to provide and present applicable incident reports to the customer.
- Provide feedback on trends for product reliability and quality improvement.
- Through constant contact, maintain accurate performance monitoring, activity, applications, and competition across the Product Line.
- Coordination between Drilling Solutions, Product Line engineering, and reliability group.
- Provide compatibility and operational recommendations/limits.
- Make recommendations to enhance existing products to drive reliability.
- Implement procedures, and best practices and follow knowledge management processes.
- Promote the technical image of NOV in the local area through membership of industry groups, technical papers, and local publications.
- Leadership in training and mentoring of new engineers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- The position may require international travel
- Working hours to be identified by the manager
- Non-standard work hours, 24/7 contact/availability expectations for rig/operational support
- Comply with Global and Local QHSE policies.
