JOB SUMMARY: DSoft Technology is searching for outstanding Drupal Developer with experience designing and creating websites, performing integration of various web-based technologies (e.g., JSON, JQuery, JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML5) and using web-based tools to assist our clients in maximizing their on-line businesses. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Drupal developer or similar role.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Not required

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Candidate is ideally located within commuting distance of Colorado Springs, CO.

SALARY RANGE: $110K to 130K, the estimate range represents the typical salary for the position commensurate with experience, knowledge and demonstrated success in the field and other factors.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Analyze websites built in Drupal 7 and determine path to upgrade to Drupal 9-10.
• Work on defects and change requests in Drupal 8 for current clients.
• Work on defects and change requests in Drupal 8 or 9 for current clients.
• Back up the main developer for these clients.
• Provide maintenance support and deployments for clients: ECC, TMA and Demand metric.
• Assist Junior developer with getting Drupal environments set up.

1) Site Development

• Setup and configure Drupal sites, model content architectures, manage Drupal content and users.
• Install and configure contributed Drupal modules and themes.
• Participate in new development in Drupal 9/10 and upgrades from 8 to 9/10 or 7 to 9/10.
• As part of a Scrum team, adhere to Agile development practices and participate in Sprint Planning, estimating, retrospectives and planning.
• Create high to mid-level diagrams to show how solutions are designed.
• Incorporate programming languages such as Angular as well as add-ons to Drupal solutions.

2) Maintenance/Security

• Support current Drupal clients with patches and maintenance issues.
• Create knowledge base documents to facilitate ongoing support.
• Identify and recommend security practices such as secure code development.
• Investigate Drupal security issues and updates. Work with Drupal Stewards and others to solve security issues if they arise.
• Help develop an SLA for resolving maintenance issues.
• Work with our partners (such as Drupal, Acquia or Umbraco) to resolve any maintenance or security issues.

3) Lead/Learn

• Mentor junior developers on proper code development, deployment, and best practices for software development.
• With Portfolio manager, help set standards for software development including code reviews, testing practices and promotion between environments. Set up a CI/CD pipeline for best practices, proper code promotion and testing.
• Provide technical guidance including recommendations for new or enhanced services to the client.
• Participate in research and technical recommendations for Cloud platform development. May include Acquia Cloud, Umbraco Cloud, Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.
• Participate in Drupal conferences/bootcamp/workshops.

4) Improve and Develop

• Use expertise of Drupal partners and community to solve problems such as security, design, or architectural questions, etc.
• Keep up to date on Drupal developments, make connections in the Drupal community, participate in the Acquia Academy.
• Help Portfolio manager determine future technical costs for clients.
• Give recommendations for enterprise scaling of solutions when needed.
• Educate Clients on why Drupal upgrades are important. Explain the technical and security benefits or upgrading.
• Incorporate Acquia Analytics into websites.
• Provides supervision and mentoring of junior staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

• 5+ years of experience in Drupal 7/8/9/10, HTML, and PHP required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of software systems and programming languages.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
