Title: Dual Support Specialist
Job Duties: The Dual Support Specialist assumes responsibility and is accountable for planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating the Dual Recovery Program. Assesses client's dual recovery needs and completes required written evaluations of assigned clients. Identifies client's needs and goals and provides individual and group activities designed to meet specific dual recovery needs and goals.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or G.E.D.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time or equivalent experience working with clients who have severe and persistent mental disabilities. A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field may be substituted for the two years of work experience.
- Minimum of one year of work experience providing direct dual recovery (or substance abuse) related services in a mental health setting.
- Maintains an effective working partnership with clients, nursing and program staff, personnel in other departments, and any other involved individuals and groups to adequately plan for and meet client needs.
