Position Overview
Farallon seeks a Due Diligence Professional to lead the coordination of investor and prospect due diligence processes. The successful candidate will sit in the Investor Relations Group and work closely with the Legal, Compliance, and Accounting groups at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco. The position will entail interacting regularly with members of the operational and investment teams. Responsibilities
- Respond to prospective and existing investor Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Requests for Information/Proposals (RFI/RFPs), and similar requests
- Coordinate and participate in Operational Due Diligence meetings with prospective and current investors and consultants, addressing follow-up as needed
- Maintain and review firm and fund-level data, including personnel, assets under management, and asset flows
- Update and maintain a library of DDQ responses and other materials in a third-party content management platform
- Populate and update third-party consultant and investor databases with firm and fund-related information
- Collaborate with internal teams to draft and produce various Due Diligence Questionnaires, fund marketing materials, and corresponding appendices
- Produce certain investor-specific reporting and other materials related to the firm’s operations
- Compile and summarize the firm’s data for select media surveys and regulatory filings
- Complete other ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a track record of strong academic achievement
- At least 2 years of experience at an alternative asset manager, consultant, investment bank, or law firm
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Quantitatively and qualitatively adept; strong analytical and communication skills
- Resourceful; detail-oriented; organized; proactive; adaptive
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness and desire to learn
- Driven; passion for self-development and improvement
- Uncompromising integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work and communicate with a wide variety of internal and external constituents
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of hedge fund operations is a plus
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and expertise. The base annual salary range for this San Francisco-based position is expected to be $100,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including skills, experience, and qualifications. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus.
