Vercel is seeking a Developer Experience (DX) Engineer to join our growing Docs team. As a DX Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that empowers our users to build, deploy, and scale their applications with ease. You'll be working closely with our engineering, product, and support teams to ensure that our users have the information they need to succeed.

• Write, edit, and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including conceptual deep dives, guides, tutorials, and API references
• Develop and maintain the docs site by creating reusable components, while enhancing user experience through informative code examples and engaging diagrams
• Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance
• Managing workload and deadlines effectively in collaboration with managers or lead writers
• Proactively communicating with stakeholders, anticipating obstacles, and addressing bugs or concerns about features
• Embracing new product areas and processes, sharing product knowledge through various channels, and driving the team's work forward
• Reviewing and editing content and code to ensure quality and adherence to our style guidelines
• Advocating for users, ensuring their needs are considered and addressed in all documentation efforts

• Strong command of the English language
• Excellent communication and research skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and dive into new features analytically
• Proficient in MDX, Markdown, and Git workflows for efficient, interactive documentation creation
• Strong experience with frontend tools such as Next.js and Vercel, which enables you to better understand and document our products and services
• The ability to prioritize your workload and execute complex projects with high attention to detail
• A willingness to dive into unfamiliar domains, quickly learn new concepts, and write comprehensive content about them
• A user-first mindset, with a particular focus on advocating for developers and addressing their needs through your documentation efforts

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $80,000 -$100,000. This salary range is an estimate, and actual salary may vary based on the company's compensation practices, location, and candidate experience. The total compensation package may also include benefits and equity-based compensation.
