Dynamics 365 Business Central Pre-Sales Consultant, position description

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Dynamics 365 Business Central and will be responsible for supporting the sales team with pre-sales activities, conducting detailed requirement analysis, and providing functional consulting services. This role requires a blend of strong technical acumen, business analysis skills, and exceptional communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Create and deliver custom demos and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of Business Central tailored to specific End-customer requirements

  • Configure and set up Business Central environments (Proof of Concept) for demonstrations understanding potential customers’ business processes and requirements.

  • Assist the sales team in preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and other sales documents.

  • Provide pre-sales technical support to prospects and customers and participate in sales calls and meetings as a subject matter expert, conducting discovery sessions and needs assessments as required

  • Technically qualify sales opportunities and provide input during sales meetings.

  • Manage changing priorities using excellent time management skills.

  • Lead the Sales to Operations handover process for successful opportunities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Business Central and Power Platform features, updates, and industry trends.

Functional Consulting:

  • Engage with clients to gather and document business requirements.

  • Experience in Jet reports, Power Platform (some knowledge of BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.)

Project Management:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of implementation projects.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in pre-sales and functional consulting with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (essential)

  • Proven experience in sales, target-driven environments, and Dynamics NAV/BC.

  • Proven track record of successful pre-sales engagements and the ability to close deals in collaboration with the sales team.

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central modules, functionalities, and integrations.

  • Experience with ERP lifecycle management systems such as Microsoft’s Lifecycle Services

  • Knowledge of Azure and Microsoft 365 is desirable

Certifications

  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.
    Example: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate

Soft Skills

  • Experience in building and configuring engaging solution demonstrations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
