Job Description
Basic Function:
Develop and implement a strategic online marketing plan for our Genuine Parts eCommerce channels while engaging the support of the marketing team for materials and branding continuity. Create strategies and recommendations for tactical investments tied to improving our eCommerce site traffic, customer ease of use, while enhancing sales performance. Will collaborate with content developers, various internal business groups as well as customers. Expand product offering as well as customer data availability.

Education:
A BS in Business, Marketing or related field is desired or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions or materials.

Create strategies and recommendations for tactical investments tied to improving our eCommerce site traffic, customer ease of use, while enhancing sales performance. Essential Duties:
- Responsible for determining the format and features of the website to maximize clarity and ease of navigation for customers. They will liaise with the Web designers to develop and alter the website as needed.
- Stay abreast of new developments in the e-marketing world. Research the company's core demographics and how to best reach them, to maximize search engine traffic and the impact of targeted ad buys.
- Oversee employees as the platform continues to expand. Responsible for interviewing, bringing preferred candidates to upper management, and providing necessary training.
- Set operational budget requiring the eCommerce Manager to plan for e-marketing expenditures and develop a financial plan that will maximize provided resources. The eCommerce Manager will need to determine and solicit budget funding for targeted projects and targeted enhancements as needed
- Communicate directly with upper management and present plans for any new advances or initiatives to improve the company's online presence and e-sales activity.
- Expert understanding of spreadsheets, databases, financial analysis, website design, search engine optimization, and e-marketing strategy
- Oversees the day-to-day function of the eCommerce operations, including verification of job/data execution and modification, registration of new accounts and applications for credit terms.
- Ensure customer data and integration integrity with our IFS ERP systems and with Avalra
- Responsible for daily reporting to aftermarket and senior staff of current sales and trend analysis of market conditions.
- Coordinate creation of ecommerce promotions and detailed sales analysis of same.
- Ensure that all Genuine Parts eCommerce platforms are functional and accepting/ transmitting eCommerce and IFS communications through internal and all approved channels of distribution, to support the business.
- The eCommerce Manager may work irregular hours and be on call to handle issues that may arise.

Education:

Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as an eCommerce manager
- Prior parts or industrial company experience is a plus
- Operational knowledge of techniques required for market research and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of website management and eCommerce business activity and platform usability.
- Insite/Optimize Web platform is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with Information Financial Systems (IFS) beneficial
- Experience in statistical software, database management, and spreadsheet development is required.
- Solid experience in statistical analysis, data management and strong communication skills are required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, MS Access and others.
