Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to drive product strategy and execution across our consumer websites as we embark on a digital transformation of the business. Lead development from ideation to prioritization, execution to post-launch. This role will blend the voice of the customer, analytics and industry insights to drive the strategy to create best in class experience for users. The Ecommerce Product Manager will report directly to the Vice President of E-Commerce & Digital Transformation and will be a key member of the e-commerce team.
Product Planning
- Responsible for defining and delivering the product strategy and roadmap for our consumer e-commerce sites, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering a world-class user experience for our site customers
- Be the customer advocate, analyze market trends and maintain an awareness of competitor activity
- Lead the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to launch, and post launch optimization
- Own the product vision and work with our analysts to create meaningful problem statements
- Maintain and manage a product roadmap, rooted in your customer, competition, and industry knowledge
- Identify new areas for growth through quantitative search and UX studies
- Serve as the face of the product within the company, and act as the point person to your stakeholders
- Own product feature prioritization and making decisions that will optimize towards growing revenue and improving customer experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features, balancing customer needs with technical feasibility and business goals
- Create hypotheses for improving the platform's capabilities, validate hypotheses via testing, analysis, and research, and iterate/improve the customer experience and optimize monetization.
- Define requirements, measure key results, track experiments, and frequently roll out new features.
- Make creative and data informed recommendations, aligned with company strategy, to improve customer experience
- Work closely with engineering and design to ensure the successful delivery of a high-quality customer experience
- Understand and explain complex technical issues, discern impact, and communicate them to maximize clarity and drive resolution
- Stay up to date with the latest web technologies, industry trends, competitors, and user behaviors to inform product strategy and development and best practices.
Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities
- Serve as a member of the Ecommerce team which includes D2C performance marketing
- Uphold and promote AMS's I-CARE values system of integrity, communication, accountability, respect and energy in all relationships with customers, suppliers, fellow employees and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the confidentiality and full and complete safeguarding the company's trade secrets and any of our business clients' customer lists and related records.
Specialist Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on E-commerce
- Experience integrating and using E-commerce platforms (Adobe commerce experience is a plus)
- An entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity and a bias toward action
- Comfortable managing highly cross-functional, visible projects with a strong sense of ownership with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and data analytics
- Experience guiding and leveraging user research to create compelling customer experiences
- Data analysis proficiency and experience using data to inform product decisions and experience working closely with data analytics and data science engineers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- An eye for E-commerce product merchandising and genuine interest in consumer needs and behavior
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment •
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to product development
- Experience with, or an interest in collectibles is a plus
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Digital marketing training, certificates, etc. a plus
