Job Description

Guidewire is widely recognized as the leading provider of software solutions for the property and casualty insurance industry. Our software offers property and casualty insurance companies the tools to take care of their customers when they need it the most, whether that is a time of crisis, a natural disaster, an accident, or exposure to cyber risks.

We are looking for a Product Solution Engineer to join our Early Access and Adoption (EAA) team. Guidewire’s Early Access and Adoption team is responsible for ensuring new product capabilities can be adopted quickly and predictably for General Availability (GA) - for more value and less cost.

We are a team of highly experienced product and delivery experts dedicated to driving predictable adoption of product capabilities as they become generally available (GA). As a part of the product development organization, we are integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from feature planning and design throughout development with a focus on adoption impacts. We work alongside implementation teams and other stakeholders on initial customer early access (EA) projects providing expert guidance as trusted advisors and champion the usage of new capabilities as they become GA. We are accountable for creating and harvesting valuable learnings and applicable generalized content and publishing this via official documentation as product adoption resources to help support scaled adoption for GA.

This is a remote role based out of Dublin, Ireland which does not require to be in office. In this role, you will specifically focus on early adoption of Guidewire Early Access capabilities. You will work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment both internally within product development and externally with early access customers to assess product adoption impacts, verify target use cases, and provide early feedback as domain experts. This role also involves providing expert guidance to implementation teams and defining a path to GA. You will also become an expert of this capability and drive harvesting and creation of learnings and applicable generalized content.

What we are looking for in this role

  • Ability to quickly learn new product features and technologies with minimal support and guidance, be self sufficient and work independently
  • Passion and proven ability to share and scale knowledge and make other people’s jobs easier

  • Ability to solve complex problems analytically, communicate effectively and research solutions, collaborating with domain specialists where necessary
  • Consulting & Leadership Skills along with deep industry knowledge of the P&C insurance industry with a focus on policy and/or underwriting
  • Highly proficient on specific product capabilities to a level where they are able to demonstrate the capability to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to accurately estimate project tasks
  • Able to create product adoption collateral identified as part of EAA engagement.
  • Help to define workarounds for Product gaps aligned to Product roadmap
  • Able to reference internal systems to learn historical capability implementation details, standards and best practices
  • Ability to do hands-on development of code as needed to evaluate new capabilities, conduct POCs, workarounds as needed.
  • Ability to design and estimate solutions for medium complexity product gaps and enhancements aligned to Product roadmap by consulting with internal and external stakeholders to cover business and technical topics
  • Supports EA capability inceptions with research for answers to product and design questions
  • Ability to learn new EA Capabilities with limited documentation, training, and collateral
  • Contribute to internal POCs for EA capabilities including designing workarounds to product gaps
  • Coaches junior team members on more complex Guidewire functionality and reinforces standards and best practices
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop a network of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ability to communicate complex scenarios in an easy to understand manner
  • Knowledge of AI, LLMs preferred.
