The Business
Create your future. We are looking for Property Risk Control Intern and the ideal candidate will have completed at least one year of engineering curriculum from of an accredited institution. Our internship program provides an opportunity for the student to gain practical experience in property risk control engineering and train with engineering professionals having more than 20 years of experience with this space.

You will have immediate exposure to real client assignments which will draw on your imagination and creativity as well as your ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and present results. These experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry expertise.

- Interacts with Property Risk Control (PRC) Engineering Staff in support of client and WTW client team engagements.
- Attends PRC Teams Meetings with clients, property brokers, and Global Risk Engineering Leadership
- Learns about the following:
- Property Risk Control and Loss Prevention Techniques
- Natural Catastrophe Modeling Techniques
- Environmental risk identification, quantification and mitigation
- Building construction and occupancy hazards
- Fire protection engineering and special hazard protection
- Fire and Natural Hazards Exposures and loss mitigation strategies
- Property Valuations, Business Income (BI) Valuations, Interdependencies, and Loss Estimates for Property Insurance Purposes
- Boiler & Machinery insurance plus Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspections and Machinery & Equipment Breakdown
- Risk Financing and Property Underwriting Means and Methods
- Provides suggestions for improving internal processes and client services

Qualifications
About you.
- Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, public health, health management, actuarial science or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- For Actuarial students: Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
- Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills (analyst type of internship preferred)
- Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
- Accepting applications from candidates that graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree between Dec 2024 - June 2026

Compensation and Benefits: Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation: The hourly rate being offered for this role is $25 - $30/hr. This role is also eligible for over-time.
