EL (Early Leaner) Teacher @ Kumon Olmos Park Job Type: Part-time, In Person Pay: $12/hour No Weekends Do you have the skills and personality to help learners aged 3-8 years develop math skills like counting and adding, and essential reading skills like phonics? Kumon Olmos Park is seeking an assistant who will specialize in supporting up to two Early Learners (ages 3-7) at a time. The work is fast-paced and requires strong English and basic Math skills, patience, and a sense of humor! Experience working with young students in an educational setting is a must. The center is open Monday-Thursday from 3-7pm. Assistance is needed Tuesdays and Thursdays from about 2:45pm to just after 6:30pm, but shifts on Monday and Wednesday may also become available in the near future. No weekends, unless discussed. The position is 8-20 hours per week, and pay is $11 an hour. Responsibilities: ⁃ Learn and follow the Kumon Method of instruction (on-the-job training). ⁃ Interact positively and energetically with young students for a three and a half to four hour shift. ⁃ Communicate effectively with other Assistants and the Instructor. ⁃ Learn and participate in other operations at the center when no Early Leaners are present.
