The Early Talent Analyst supports the evolution of our Early Talent strategies and how we bring them to life in their respective markets/region. The Early Talent Analyst will be responsible for successfully developing the recruitment strategy, planning and execution of all activities at the undergraduate and graduate levels in their local markets. The analyst will provide operational excellence to attract, source, select and develop our Early Talents in line with our global strategic priorities to build and grow our early talent pipeline. The Early Talent Analyst should be a creative, innovative thinker with strong communication skills who will be able to strengthen our Mars employer brand at universities and diversity partner organizations, focus on candidate attraction and build a strong pipeline of high potential student talent. The Early Talent Analyst will work closely with the broader Early Talent team across the region, partnering with Early Talent Managers, Employer Reputation and Corporate Affairs internal teams, University faculty, career services, national partners and other external stakeholders.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement our university recruitment and employer reputation strategy (both virtually and in-person where applicable) to attract, source and recruit a high caliber of university level talent that aligns to business needs, pushes the businesses thinking around future capabilities, and positions Mars as an employer of choice.
  • Develop of thorough understanding of local market landscape (university and competitors), regularly sharing this information with the Early Talent Managers and other key stakeholders. Learn from peers to broaden knowledge of regional Early Talent landscape.
  • Build and manage relationships with universities including career services, faculty, diversity partner organizations, sponsorships, student clubs and other external partners. Manage relationships with clear and effective communication including planning, kick-offs, maintaining a regular cadence of connects, and timely follow-thru. Where applicable, influence and educate Ambassadors and Associates involved in the recruitment process on how to best engage with student candidates.
  • Leads the management of various projects related to Early Talent and/or Talent Acquisition by developing, communicating, and executing project plans in order to support the overall TA strategy and ones personal development.
  • Strongly partner with Employer Reputation team (and Corp Affairs where applicable) to design and develop branding materials, digital strategy, marketing campaigns and career websites.
  • Ownership of the end to end recruitment process, including attraction, sourcing and operational recruitment process, which includes a solid understanding of the various technology platforms we use.
  • Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of our current attraction, sourcing and recruitment strategy, programs and initiatives; consulting with key stakeholders to solicit and evaluate input, and applying a continuous improvement mindset to increase efficiency and effectiveness overtime.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics at a campus level to influence data driven decisions and share results/trends with stakeholders.
  • Manages vendor relationships, including creation, inventory warehousing, shipping of collateral and branding materials.
  • Maintain timely and accurate data in the applicant tracking system, CRM, university websites and career pages, and other technology platforms we use to engage with early talents
  • Leverage technology to create an efficient and effective Early Talent recruiting process, including CRM management and digital assessment tools. Track and analyze the recruitment process using internal reporting metrics to influence data driven decisions and share results/trends with stakeholders.
  • Manage overarching Internship programming, inclusive of coordinating a variety of events and activities to build a sense of culture, connection and development. You will work closely with the broader ET team to bring your ideas to life, providing opportunities for our interns to share their experiences with us to continue to evolve our program offerings.
  • Drive year round communications to interns and intern converts. Building a strong continuous communication link to our talent and ensuring they feel supported in our Mars journey.

Strategy Development & Deployment

  • Develop and deploy local ET strategies in partnership with Early Talent Managers, Early Talent Lead and key stakeholders to ensure programs and initiatives enhance value and support business growth.
  • Ensure business needs are met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current attraction, sourcing and recruitment strategy; consulting with key stakeholders to solicit and evaluate input, applying a continuous improvement mindset to increase efficiency, effectiveness and value over time. Track and analyze key performance metrics at recruitment level to influence data driven decisions and share results, trends and action plans with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Employer Reputation team to identify critical talent attraction levers that can be executed to drive a high quality pool of candidates into the pipeline.
  • Ability to manage, influence and align geographically distributed stakeholders while consistently delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Innovative thinker with ability to create, launch and implement creative employer marketing and candidate attraction strategies.
  • Use data and insights, both internal and external, to recommend new and modern ways to attract, select, onboard and develop Early Talent hires.
  • Ensure Early Talent strategy aligned with overall diversity goals in order to build strong pipelines of talent across the business.
  • Serve as a Mars Ambassador and advocate for the candidate experience through the Early Talent recruitment process.

Operational Execution

  • Owns end to end recruitment process including attraction, sourcing and operational process.
  • Designs and develops local market deployment of Early Talent attraction and sourcing initiatives.
  • Coach hiring managers on the Mars recruitment philosophy, policy and process to ensure Mars provides a best in class recruiter and candidate experience.
  • Owns onboarding process, collaborating closely with Talent and Learning Centers of Excellence to drive all program related talent management initiatives, including and not limited to the execution of Learning and Development curriculums (where applicable).
  • Monitor key metrics and key performance Indicators to track recruitment effectiveness and ensure strong ROI for Mars.
  • Own and manage the operational activities within respective market; including but not limited to contract management, coaching and advising interns, Mars Intern groups and Intern LMs throughout the year.
  • Own Internship programming, providing a sense of culture, connection and belonging.
  • Create year round "always on" communication with potential candidates and interns before, during and after their internship.
