At BD, our Early Talent Programs offer immersive experiences to support, cultivate, identify, and develop talent for BD. Throughout the year, we host a multitude of events to strengthen our brand presence on campus, while attracting college students for our internships, leadership development programs, and full-time roles.

We are actively recruiting a creative, enthusiastic, and agile Early Talent Program Coordinator to join our team! This role is remote in the US, but the selected individual needs to be located within a commutable distance to a BD location (preferably our Franklin Lakes, NJ headquarters) with the ability to be on-site as needed.

In this role, you will work closely with the Early Talent Teamto help plan, and more importantly, execute tactics in support of successful campus and program events. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in planning, driving, and reporting back on event outcomes. Additionally, candidate requires outstanding organizational and project management skills, high-attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Job Description Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the scheduling, planning and logistics for Early Talent events (on-campus, office onsite, and virtual), including event registrations, venue bookings, catering orders, set-up support, vendor payments, procurement requests, shipping, and tracking.
  • Lead execution of event strategies for many campus events and gatherings throughout the year, but heavily weighted in the summer and fall timeframe. Support the team in training career fair/campus representatives.
  • Partner with the Early Talent Program Specialists to support the BD Summer Internship Program including pre-boarding communications, trainings, onboarding, networking/social events, survey management and performance reviews.
  • Build and foster relationships with Early Talent team, campus event representatives, summer interns, development program associates, campus career services and a variety of other internal and external resources.
  • Create accurate and meaningful program metrics to track results and analyze the effectiveness of strategy.
  • Manage budget activities, including processing purchase orders and invoices, expense reporting, monthly reconciliation of purchasing credit card and internal chargebacks.
  • Continuously identify and drive process improvement and standardization opportunities to enhance event planning and execution and provide an exceptional candidate and associate experience.
  • Employ and adhere to Early Talent and Event processes, workflows, and communications cadences to support successful events.
  • Maintain and update Early Talent recruiting materials and career fair inventory of supplies and giveaways.
  • Manage communications in the Early Talent inbox and respond to inquiries.
  • Balance day to day responsibilities with project work and professional development opportunities
  • Travel as needed to support the Early Talent team with on-campus and other Early Talent/Diversity events.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role with demonstrated expertise in event planning, management, and execution. Previous experience supporting Early Talent programs preferred.
  • Adept in using technology systems and applications to complete day to day responsibilities. Experience working with Handshake, Yello and/or Workday preferred.
  • Ability to focus, prioritize, and deliver multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment, highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through; must be deadline driven.
  • Excels at developing relationships throughout the organization; building networks and ability to liaise with stakeholders at various levels of management, including engaging with senior leaders.
  • Must be willing to keep flexible hours, especially during the peak fall campus recruiting and diversity event timeline (Typically July through October).
  • Growth mindset with a demonstrated commitment to learning & development of self and others, as well as open to feedback.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and present data.
  • Previous experience within a large, highly matrixed company preferred.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
