eCommerce Associate Intern/Co-Op

Remote – In Boston, MA (Candidate must be located in Boston, MA)

We built our Digital innovation Hub in downtown Boston and staffed the start-up with top talent from leading Boston eCommerce firms like BJs, Keurig, Sapient, Staples, Vistaprint and Wayfair. The Boston office has a broad mandate to drive the company’s digital capabilities and reports to our Boston-based Chief Digital Officer. This is a start-up opportunity to build digital capabilities from the ground up using a composable architecture with the latest technologies across the digital ecosystem.

Dawn is looking to add an eCommerce Associate Intern/Co-Op to our team for a 6-month rotation to work hands-on with our eCommerce platform in a variety of roles and responsibilities. This role would be well suited to students following a course of study in Digital Marketing, UX Design, or Data Science. This role reports to our Boston-based, Site Manager. You will be mentored by a cross-functional group of Managers and SMEs and present your findings to the broader eCommerce team including Dawn’s Chief Digital Officer. This position will also offer you the unique opportunity to own and present a complete end-to-end project utilizing all the skills you will learn during your Internship/Co-Op.

Requirements

• Working towards BS in Business, Digital Marketing, UX Design, or Data Science.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Strong communication skills, experience interfacing with customer care, sales, and marketing groups.
• Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.
• Customer service oriented internally and externally.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of product presentation planning to drive conversion.
• Support Category Managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of product data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute merchandising projects and initiatives.
• Work closely with our merchandising, product, and data teams to understand and prioritize product presentation and organizational KPIs.
• Help strategize and execute presentation and design experiments to improve overall customer experience.
• Receive hands-on instruction into the basics of data gathering, collecting, and reporting tools.

Potential Projects

• This Internship/Co-Op position will also offer you the unique opportunity to own and present a complete end-to-end project utilizing all the skills you will learn during your Internship/Co-Op.
• The project will have you identify the individual preferences and dimensions of each customer that go into their decision making and shopping habits and how completely these data points are stored and can be accessed. You will evaluate how well the current eCommerce platform accounts for those criteria, and make recommendations for improvement to UX/UI, presentation, data collection, and site functionality in order provide each customer with a tailored ordering experience.
• You will be mentored by a cross-functional group of Managers and SMEs and present your findings to the broader eCommerce team.

Compensation Range: $32,960-$49,450 annual non-exempt salary based on 2080 hours a year at the rate of $15.85-$23.77 per hour.
