About the role: 

OLIVER is a global marketing agency who exclusively designs, builds, and runs bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands. Our skilled creative talents are dedicated to high-profile clients and are based either onsite, near site, or offsite in our hubs.  

We are looking for a Content Strategist and eCommerce Lead to work with a leading manufacturer of consumer-packaged goods on their Content and Production team. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller who can understand client briefs, identify unspoken needs, and distill information in a clear and actionable manner.  

As a Content Strategist, you can translate the highest-level brand priorities to all levels of deliverables including lower funnel tactics, steer strategic thought leadership by driving alignment of creative messaging with customer needs and industry and cultural trends, and ensure we are delivering the most relevant messaging possible to customers at all points in their journey.  

What you will be doing: 

  • Partner with Regional Content and Production Leads to assist with creative idea input, local activation brief development, message mapping, editorial calendars, with special attention to front-end development
  • Ensure the highest quality and consistent brand image which results in eCommerce best practices and deliverables
  • Knowledge expert of consumer insights and content trends that will influence message mapping and overall content needs  
  • Manage social listening at a regional level  
  • Understanding the global strategy based on multi-region exposure to inform a localization brief   

What you need to be great in this role:  

  • 8+ years’ experience as a Strategist or Content Strategist, or similar role   
  • A portfolio demonstrating your ability to understand the needs of the business and consumer   
  • A passion for digital trends and working knowledge of channels, audience behavior and best practices  
  • Deep channel and media Platform expertise, focusing on innovation   
  • Background in eCommerce asset selection and adaptation to web to best position product value proposition 
  • Thorough knowledge of integration with the eCommerce funnel parameters that make products compelling and inspiring to users. 
  • eComm/shopper experience  
  • Ability to synthesize complex information or broad ideas into simple and actionable insights   
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal   
  • Experience strategically presenting ideas to clients 
  • A team player mindset with a client centric focus and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships   
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude 
  • Proficient in Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Content Marketing Platform (CMP - Workflow) technologies a plus
  • Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods
