ABOUT THE POSITION

The eCommerce Digital Designer works closely with other teams to create and support digital and online initiatives for Columbia Sportswear Company. Initiatives include continual improvement of core functionality on site, brand campaign support, site-wide promotions, email campaigns, and dedicated interactive experiences for both desktop and mobile. The eCommerce Digital Designer will carry out projects as directed by other temas that achieve business requirements and deliver innovative ideas with uncompromising aesthetic and attention to details. This position is expected to explain the creative thinking behind the work and how it supports business requirements and evolves the brand.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Designs eCommerce various digital platforms. Drives site enhancement and ideas using industry best practices and emerging trends.
• Communicates design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
• Builds and refines various digital layouts within web content management system.
• Anticipates and provides solutions for design improvements and opportunities across various digital platforms.
• Reviews final desk checks with an exacting eye, ensuring layout, images, and typography meet design standards.

YOU ARE

• A strong communicator- able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Detail oriented
• Able to maintain best practices for web, digital design, and user experience design
• Able to identify and solve design challenges to provide new approaches to working with core brand assets.
• Able to deliver quality design at high volume in a tight timeframe

YOU HAVE

• An understanding of web development, content management systems including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and CSS.
• Intermediate Adobe Creative Suite
• Intermediate prototyping ability
• Experience in art directing, studio and on-location photoshoots with digital needs, and best practices
