We are currently seeking an eCommerce SEO Strategist to create and execute organic search strategies for Groove Commerce’s clients. At Groove Commerce, you’ll be responsible for setting the strategic direction of SEO for our clients as well as ongoing execution and implementation. You should be able to answer key questions such as how brands are communicated and experienced through digital interactions, and how digital interactions turn into conversions.

Who Are You? 

A highly analytical self-starter, who dreams of online conversions. You have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, and an understanding of how search interacts with other marketing channels. You have an experienced portfolio and capabilities to increase organic visibility in nearly any vertical or geography. You can speak just as fluently about hreflang tags, robots.txt files, and canonical tags as you can about a holistic keyword strategy, content marketing, off-site citations, and inbound link profiles.

What We Need You To Do:

• Learn and leverage a variety of SEO tools/platforms (like BrightEdge, Spyfu, Databox, etc.)
• Analyze, develop and execute strategy as related to SEO
• Perform pre-launch and post-launch audits for website redesigns and migrations
• Manage workflow process of SEO deliverables:
• Site audits and SEO strategies
• Keyword research
• On-page optimization
• Content strategies
• Technical analysis
• Competitive analysis
• Reporting
• Manage and communicate SEO as a business strategy
• Manage day-to-day account activity and client deliverables
• Educate clients and internally on best practices and overall education of SEO
• Stay up to date and transfer knowledge of best practices and latest developments in SEO
• Be a self-starter and team player
• Work with cross-functional teams to plan, implement and improve account performance aligned with client goals and initiatives
• Provide benchmark and tracking reports to Account Managers, Clients and Search Team on KPIs
• Teach and learn in a collaborative environment on Digital Marketing best practices and tools to grow and flex your expertise
• Acquire and maintain certifications in our various platforms.

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience executing organic search campaigns
• Must have agency experience
• Experience with keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis
• Strong understanding of SEO analytics software (BrightEdge, Spyfu, Search Console, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of search engine criteria/algorithm updates (Panda, Penguin, Pigeon)
• Deep knowledge and passion for technology, digital marketing, and innovation
• Presentation capabilities and comfort meeting with clients and team members in person and via Zoom
• Ability to manage time effectively and responsibly to get tasks done in a timely manner
• Strong understanding of Google Analytics, and reporting tools
• Experience in Google Suite
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Additional online marketing experience a plus (SEO, social, email, etc)
