EDI Analyst

Summary

This role applies basic to intermediate level of subject matter knowledge and understanding of a function's principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited to moderately complex scope. Utilizes professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate the successful integration of partner data to and from our enterprise systems.

- Lead root cause analysis and formulate solutions that permanently eliminate recurring errors and increase efficiencies.

- Research EDI or Business Messaging errors and questions presented by the business or by other team members.

- Responsible for testing and deploying new trading partner transactions.

- Monitor operation of business messaging infrastructure by regularly reviewing the data streams to ensure successful processing.

- Research and escalate issues to facilitate quick resolution of communication, software, transaction or setup problems.

- Demonstrates technical and non-technical proficiency.

- Represents team to client/customers.

- Consults with team members and customers on issues.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

1+ years related experience and/or training

Other Information

- Experience in an IT development environment.

- Experience of one or more full release cycles.

- Basic understanding of modern software development methodologies (Object), information security procedures and practices, and/or data management practices.

- Basic understanding of modern software development tools and SCM (software configuration management).

- Basic understanding of Software Test methodologies, test scripting and testing tools.

- Understanding of Basic Database Administration.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Good meeting planning and facilitation skills.

- Experience of one or more complete projects.

- Basic understanding of standard business processes.
