The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Senior EDI Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading the design, implementation, and management of EDI solutions, ensuring seamless integration with trading partners and internal systems.
• Implementing complex EDI processes, including mapping, translation, and communication protocols, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Determining technical requirements and solutions for onboarding new trading partners, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure successful integration.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers in EDI best practices, troubleshooting, and problem-solving, while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 3 years of EDI Implementation Experience

OR

• High School Diploma/GED from AND 8 years of EDI Implementation Experience 

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing EDI solutions.
• Experience in setup and management of EDI connectivity, i.e. SFTP, VAN, AS2
• Experience with onboarding and managing trading partner relationships.
• Experience in a technical leadership role, including mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
• Skills include excellent customer service, professionalism, and a strong willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of experience in EDI implementation in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Experience working with cloud-based EDI solutions including MuleSoft AnyPoint Partner Manager
• Sense of Humor
