The eDiscovery Team within Law Administration provides cross-functional, enterprise support and expertise regarding preservation, collection and document and data review strategies for litigation, arbitration, government inquiries, internal investigations, subpoenas and divestitures and acquisitions. The Team communicates, coordinates, and reinforces the consistent application of Chevron eDiscovery strategies, the use of Law Function recommended discovery tools and applications, and facilitates collaboration among the teams involved in the various matters, including in-house and outside counsel, IT-Forensics, Legal Analysts, third party service providers, business partners and Company employees to ensure timely and consistent application of our processes and best practices.

The eDiscovery Technical Operations Analyst will assist the eDiscovery Technical Operations Team Lead in providing technical support to the eDiscovery Project Managers through all phases of the EDRM. Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Create matters, run searches, collect, and export data using the eDiscovery Tools in Microsoft Purview.
  • Create user accounts and passwords for all RelOne users and modify permissions as needed.
  • Load data/exports to RelOne using ROSE and RDC.
  • Apply analytics to the data loaded in RelOne as needed.
  • Run productions in RelOne at the direction of the eDPM's.
  • Use internal tools to decrypt data.
  • Use Nuix Workstation to load, search and export data.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the eDiscovery Project Managers and report issues to the eDiscovery Technical Operations Team Lead.
  • Update and track the status of all Microsoft Support Tickets.
  • Coordinate Mobile Device Data Collections Work on developing a deep knowledge of all collection and review tools used by the eDiscovery team to become a Subject Matter Expert, along with the associated processes, best practices and workflows.
  • Collaborate with eDiscovery Project Managers and eDiscovery Technical Operations Team Lead to document processes, workflow, best practices, and draft/update related playbooks.
  • Carefully track and monitor tasks to ensure completion by stated deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Experience processing and managing data using eDiscovery tools including Nuix Discover, Nuix Desktop, Relativity, RelOne, and the eDiscovery modules in Microsoft Purview.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of legal terminology, has a working knowledge of the EDRM, and litigation discovery rules and practices. Previous Legal Analyst/Paralegal experience preferred.
  • Good communication and technical skills and the ability to work effectively with vendor partners, team members and legal and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS)
  • Ability to travel, as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree. (Significant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)
