The Role

Home Solutions is seeking a Local SEO Editor with excellent editorial, reading, writing, and organizational skills to be part of our growing team. You'll be responsible for delivering publication-ready content that is on time, high quality, and valuable to our readers as they make important decisions about their home. 

Beyond content, this role is for someone who enjoys variety, as you’ll have the opportunity to give feedback and input on data and development of new features as we build out our tech stack, track content performance and production, and perform competitor analysis. If you’re looking for a tech-forward editing role that requires meticulous attention to detail, this is the challenge for you.

Day to Day

• Edit and manage content production of local SEO pages, ensuring they are on time and best-in-class.
• Deliver actionable feedback to our writers on creating exceptional content, incorporating new data and syntax into their writing, and adding value to the reader at every turn.
• Offering feedback and design ideas to streamline your workflows inside of our content management system.
• Collaborating with data and development teams.
• Demonstrate a meticulous approach to your work, with a highly organized process and unfailing eye for detail.
• Spearheading new projects to lead continuing education, analyze competitor content, shape content strategy, and inform competitive article outlines.
• Help build the culture of a growing and fun growth-stage company.
• Interviewing subject-matter experts, launching consumer surveys, and conducting focus groups.

About You

• You have been writing in a digital-first environment for at least 3 years with at least 1 year of experience in product writing.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
• You are a natural at diagramming sentences and enjoy the technical, linguistic side of the English language.
• You get excited about emerging technologies and automating parts of your workflow.
• You are comfortable working inside of WordPress or a similar CMS.
• You are comfortable pivoting between topics and writing for multiple brand voices.
• You price yourself in producing clean, timely, and in-depth content.
• You noticed the typo in the last bullet.
• You are self-motivated; comfortable putting your head down and producing excellent work without needing daily guidance.
• You thrive in an environment where there is no playbook and enjoy creating new systems.
• You enjoy innovating and are energized by doing work that hasn't been done before.

Base salary and performance-based bonus commensurate with experience.
