As an EdTech Industry Specialist, you’ll join our energetic team of industry leaders in developing innovative new technologies to address challenges such as scalable distance learning, optimizing enrollment and admission, AI-powered tutors for assistance learning, smart analytics for student retention, secure knowledge sharing and more.
You will be representing SADA as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the EdTech Space, assisting in requirements gathering/analysis, solutioning, and sales/growth strategy, focused on our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers. Depending on the project need, you will be asked to fill a combination of roles, including Industry Specialist, Subject Matter Expert, Business Analyst, Solution Architect, Product Owner, and Sales Engineer.
You will apply your EdTech industry and solution expertise toward guiding engineering efforts in developing compelling, repeatable solutions, supporting marketing and sales activities for those solutions, and influencing SADA’s long-term vision and roadmap for the broader EdTech product and solution space.
To succeed, you will need to be an executive-level technologist who can directly partner with our customers, weaving your subject-matter knowledge with broad business acumen to impact strategic C-level conversations.
In the future, we envision this role will also encompass a broader review of our EDU strategy within professional services. This may include creating a competitive strategy for the team in the EDU space, developing innovative solutions for our customers, and documenting repeatable service products.Â
Key Responsibilities
This is an individual contributor role, wherein you will collaborate with multiple teams at SADA towards achieving your objectives. Examples include:
Engineering and Technical Support Teams. You will guide our engineers in developing repeatable EdTech solutions, including:
- Provide industry subject matter expertise to enable development teams to deliver compelling, valued-added solutions to EdTech customers
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, solution architects, product owners/managers, and UX/UI designers to deliver outstanding user experiences
- Develop and oversee the execution of product roadmaps
- Use Agile methodologies to created well-defined, documented product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Help these teams learn the language and nuanced expectations of EdTech customers, in order to provide our customers with five-star experiences
- When necessary, provide supplemental assistance to the team’s designated project and/or product managersÂ
- Experience in Prior Learning Assessment(PLA), Curriculum Management, Assessment Authoring and Management
- Experience in working with Learning Content Authoring and Learning Content Delivery
- Experience with any of the Education industry products like Canvas, Blackboard, Frost, Inspace etc
- Experience with Learning Pathways, Student Registration Enrollment and Student Onboarding
- Understanding of Credentials and Pathways and working high level workings of Credential Engine.Â
- Experience and can articulate high level comprehension of different roles Student, Learner, Faculty, Admin, Registrar etc.Â
Sales and Pre-sales Engineering Teams. You will closely collaborate with SADA’s sellers and customer engineers in efforts to drive adoption through such activities as:
- Work closely with sales and customer engineering teams on sales strategies for specific EdTech market segments and customersÂ
- Provide training and tools to enable these teams to effectively sell SADA’s repeatable EdTech solutions
- Participate directly in sales activities for key accounts, forging relationships of trust with decision makers and helping to close deals
- Develop repeatable processes, solutions, or products that enable SADA and its customers to work more efficiently
This role requires leadership presence and approaches to technology sales, implementation, and support. You must be able to formulate business value with Google Cloud-architected solutions which may include multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud scenarios. Your approach must be consultative and inspirational while anticipating future needs and risks around growth and diversification. The ideal candidate is able to connect with customer leaders, relate to business objectives, and create a strategy of Google Cloud technology to solve for present and future outcomes.

Expectations
- Required Travel - 10-30% travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events.Â
- Customer Facing - You will interact with customers on a regular basis. Common touchpoints occur during discovery and scoping of opportunities, at project kickoff, throughout the engagement, at project close, and other opportunities that drive value for the customer and in turn, for SADA. You can expect to interact with a range of customer stakeholders, including engineers, technical project managers, and executives.
- Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date.Â
Job Requirements
Minimum experience and qualifications:
- 8 years full-time, professional experience procuring, designing, developing, and/or implementing EdTech-related software and solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast and highly collaborative environment with hybrid/global software engineering teams
- 6 years in a requirements development role, such as business analysis, product ownership, or product management
- Demonstrated ability working with and presenting to C-level IT technical and business executives
- Experience and can articulate high level comprehension of different roles and workflows across EdTech ecosystem, e.g. Student, Learner, Faculty, Admin, Registrar etc.Â
- Experience in Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), Curriculum Management, Assessment Authoring and Management solutions
Preferred experience and qualifications :
- +12 yrs relevant experience in driving full cycle engagements (pre-sales, planning, delivery, customer experience) in a variety of EdTech products and solutions
- Technology leadership experience (Director, VP, CIO) driving technology transformation initiatives experience a strong plus
- Google Cloud experience and/or certifications a plus
- Experience in business development, customer relationship management, software and professional services purchasing, contracting and delivery excellence
- Have owned and driven full cycle product management engagements
- Experience in working with Learning Content Authoring and Content Delivery
- Experience with Education industry products like Canvas, Blackboard, Frost, Inspace etc
- Understanding and experience with Credentials, Learning Pathways, Credential Engine, Student Registration Enrollment and Student Onboarding
- Driven Industry-facing marketing effort and thought leadership activities
- Speaking at industry and technology summitsÂ
