Position Summary

Avantax is seeking an Education Coordinator III that will support the day-to-day operations of the Education team. This role is responsible for technical, operational, and consultative support for the Avantax Learning Center and online (feedback) survey administration. In this role, the Education Coordinator III engages with a variety of vendors, customers, and stakeholders and must always exhibit a high level of professionalism. Some travel may be required with this position to support the on-site delivery of meetings and events. The Education team is responsible for providing comprehensive educational programs and events that empower Financial Professionals to fully assist their clients in reaching their financial goals. To achieve these objectives, the Education team uses a complex educational strategy to include:

  • Wealth management assistant development program, an ongoing educational curriculum.
  • Growth through Community and Regional meetings held virtually and in person, nationwide.
  • Avantax Launch for New Financial Professionals.
  • Advisor Council meetings (virtual and in-person).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

LMS Administration:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the LMS (including, but not limited to, uploading and testing new courses and content, running reports, managing user profiles and permissions, creating and maintaining accurate training audiences, and assigning courses/training plans).
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to maintain an accurate, relevant, and compliant LMS asset library/inventory (including, but not limited to, courses, documents, assessments, surveys, and training plans and curriculums).
  • Promote and maintain a consistent look and feel for all user interfaces, tab and/or page displays, and learning assets in the LMS, ensuring adherence to company brand and compliance standards.
  • Work with instructional designers to test, troubleshoot, and optimize the functionality and performance of learning assets maintained in the LMS and track completions of the assigned content.
  • Review, edit, and maintain the accuracy of existing and new LMS operational processes, procedures, guidelines, and documentation to ensure the LMS governance model is being followed.
  • Educate and assist learners, peers, and other stakeholders on LMS functionality, features, and benefits; recommend solutions to utilize and optimize the LMS to deliver, track, and measure training (as warranted).
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for users and stakeholders regarding logging into the LMS and accessing courses; act swiftly to collaborate with vendors and support teams as needed to resolve any technical issues that may arise.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends and innovations in LMS software and systems.

Survey Administration:

  • Manage the end-to-end survey administration (including, but not limited to, intake, planning, design, implementation, collection, and analysis).
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to understand survey requirements, goals, and objectives, and accurately scope survey administration effort.
  • Leverage expertise and knowledge to provide consultative support to help ensure survey objectives are met; problem solves as required.
  • Employ sound survey design strategies and best practices (including, but not limited to, question types, branching structure, timing optimization, and incentivization tactics).
  • Collect, analyze, and report survey results to provide key stakeholders with clear, actionable insights (including, but not limited to, data interrogation, and data visualization).
  • Review, edit, and maintain the accuracy of existing and new survey administration operational processes, procedures, guidelines, and documentation to ensure the company governance model is being followed.

General:

  • Provide input into work assignments, target dates, and other aspects of assigned projects; communicate regular project progress updates to manager and stakeholders.
  • Provide customer service support for training requests received via team mailbox and voicemail.
  • Actively seek ongoing skill development.
  • Provide general assistance to Education team initiatives.
  • Regularly challenge money spent against return on investment.
  • Perform general office duties and other tasks as needed/assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (required).
  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services or related industry (preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in LMS administration (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (required).
  • Proficiency with SumTotal, Brainshark, or other learning management software/platforms (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Qualtrics or other survey tools (preferred).

Physical Demands & Work Effort

  • 10% Travel required.
  • Keying/typing, sitting, standing, walking.

  • The job is performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.

Base Salary Range:

$24 - $36 per hour; Variable incentive compensation eligible.
