Job Description

The EHR Administrator is responsible for the management of Wayside’s EHR system. This includes managing all EHR technology system-related projects and supporting the organization with EHR system and technology needs. This position is responsible for:

  • Clinical chart auditing and management of clinical records within the system.
  • Overseeing report generation and quality improvement for government grants.
  • Works alongside other leadership roles within the organization to address all systems and reporting needs.

REMOTE: 2 DAYS PER WEEK AND 3 DAYS ON SITE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and manage the EHR database system (Credible)
  • Build Clinical and Practice Management Forms
  • Auditing of clinical records
  • Responsible for Quality Improvement process for all grants
  • Ability to problem-solve and think creatively to implement solutions to complex and ongoing system needs.
  • Train new staff and existing staff on the EHR database.
  • Create and maintain training materials for the EHR database.
  • Work with Leadership team on projects and tasks that utilize the EHR system or its data.
  • Provide backup and support on all reporting initiatives- Ex- CareSuites, MNEAS, etc.

Job Requirements

  • SQL Coding (required)
  • Knowledge of EHR systems, implementation, and management
  • Knowledge of Credible software (not required but preferred)
  • Knowledge or past work history working with clinical and/or healthcare systems
  • Knowledge or past work history of working with healthcare payors (highly preferred)
  • Experience with client database systems.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent work organization skills and detail oriented.
  • Experience and skill with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Must be able to pass DHS background study and meet applicable requirements and regulations.
  • Must value diversity and be able to relate well and enjoy working with women and children of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or 3-5 years plus technical experience
  • Knowledge and experience with substance use disorder and/or behavioral health field preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be free from problematic substance use for at least two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
  • Must be able to pass DHS background study and applicable requirements and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to time manage and work effectively with women of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Organizational and excellent computer skills essential.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
  • Need current Minnesota driver’s license with good driving record.
  • No DWIs in last three years; No more than three moving violations/accidents in past three years.
  • Strong attention to detail; thinking capabilities and humor are welcome.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability to be responsive in an effective manner, while maintaining a warm and supportive atmosphere.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Understanding of HIPPA and Mandated Reporting laws.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • SQL Coding
  • Knowledge or past history working with clinical and/or healthcare systems
  • Knowledge or past history of working with healthcare payors (Highly preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able use the telephone and computer.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods while performing desk duties.
  • Must be able to lift and move paper files up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.

COMPENSATION: $65,000-$70,000
