Job Description

Job Summary:

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for activities related to environmental, health, safety and food safety compliance. This individual will assist with the maintenance and implementation of the EHS EMS software that Gavilon uses to assist in compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental requirements. Additionally, the EHS Coordinator will work with department managers and location leadership to coordinate essential EHS activities and reports for business and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for EHS EMS users including responding to after- hours requests
  • Manage the configuration and operation of the EHS EMS
  • Monitor the system and respond to usability concerns
  • Develop, update and correct dashboards, document sets, lists, reports, webpages, and workflows
  • Train, assist and conduct problem solving for EHS EMS users
  • Interface with the EHS EMS governance team on governance requirements, rollout of new programs, and updates and changes to the EHS management system
  • Liaison with the Information Technology Department personnel on software and hardware requirements, issues and updates
  • Prepare special reports, letters, excel spreadsheets, complex correspondence and records, following up on pending matters.
  • Create, audit and distribute reports for various audiences.
  • Answer routine questions and furnishes information
  • Schedule trainings and makes arrangements for meetings
  • Perform full clerical, administrative and general office duties: include but are not limited to making copies, creating filing systems, filing documents, system access requests, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field
  • Experience with Intelex, SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365 software programs (Power Apps, PowerAutomate, Forms, etc.) and/or software workflow development preferred
  • Understanding of environmental, or health and safety requirements a plus
  • Superior problem solving and technical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while paying close attention to details
  • Database knowledge with dashboard and report development experience
  • High understanding or ability to learn MS Office 365 (specifically, Teams, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, One Note)
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Work well as a team player in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Able to train teams/individuals on technology and software solutions
