EHS Intern

This position is responsible for promoting a safe work environment for all employees at Pall Corporation in Cortland, NY. Duties include facilitating and communicating Environmental, Health and Safety (E, H&S) programs and policies. This position works under the direct supervision of the EH&S Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in the review of safety and health programs against corporate and regulatory requirements• Works with employees and Supervisors to implement companywide safety initiatives and programs• Supports EHS Department by reviewing contractor activity and conducting construction site field audits.• Supports EHS Department with internal safety audits.• Performs analysis and recommends improvements to equipment and processes to improve safety and prevent accidents• Assist EHS Department with Management of Change activities and action closure.• Assist EHS Department with Ergonomic evaluations of industrial processes.

Education:

Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in technical field (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent related experience)

Required Years and Area of Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience in an environmental, safety and health-related field

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, NYSDEC)
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
