Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Project Leader in the development and support of Rockwell Automation goals and objectives for safety compliance and world-class safety and health performance of all sites.
  • Serves as a technical resource to the organization. Based on education and training, technically competent in the Safety and Health field.
  • Maintains Rockwell Automation safety policies and procedures consistent with applicable federal, state, local, international, and Rockwell policies for safety management.
  • Responsible to stay abreast of applicable national and local safety regulations worldwide and to proactively respond to changes and to communicate them throughout Rockwell Automation.
  • Performs Rockwell Automation site audits consistent with Rockwell Automation policy and follows through with required reports, necessary funding, and implementation of corrective action plans consistent with the Audit Policy.
  • Performs periodic risk evaluations of all Rockwell Automation site processes.
  • Identifies, develops, and manages training programs in support of Rockwell/Rockwell Automation safety strategies. These programs include, but are not limited to, staff training, facilitators training, coordinators training, management and awareness training.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains measurement and assessment methodologies to evaluate progress, performance, and compliance in the safety areas.
  • Builds effective teams committed to organizational goals; fosters collaboration among team members and among teams; uses teams to address relevant issues.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences or Engineering
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience directly related to environmental, health, and safety aspects in a manufacturing or field service organization.
  • Proficient in country safety and environmental laws, agency requirements and enforcement methods.
  • Understands business metrics related to area of responsibility for use in project planning and support of business objectives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to influence internal and external customers.
  • Experience with business analytical software
  • Good problem-solving skills and be able to gather and analyze information and as necessary, help develop appropriate options and actions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and influence others to obtain results.
  • Able to work independently and with a team. Builds effective teams committed to organization goals, fosters collaboration among teams; uses teams to address relevant issues.
  • Works well with others and looks for ways to collaborate and build teamwork.
  • Proactively share timely updates and information with relevant parties.
  • Values and supports diversity in the workplace.
