Job Description
The hourly rate for this position is 22.50 per hour. We are able to offer location assistance of up to $5,000 for applicants residing within the United States.

What you'll do:
Eaton's Dallas Distribution Center is currently seeking a EHS Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Dallas, TX distribution center on First Shift.
Position Overview:
The EHS Technician position will be responsible for supporting environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site. In this role, you will support all EHS activities including maintaining EHS systems and processes such as monitoring and measurement systems, reporting and communication of EHS metrics, collection, and organization of EHS action items, supporting EHS training initiatives, leading and supporting EHS teams, supports incident investigations, and supporting site internal assessment activities.

In this function you will: • Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements.• Supports risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.• Supports MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.• Supports and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.• Supports EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.• Works with EHS Manager, and MESH element champions to complete any standing MESH assessment actions.• Create training matrixes and supports training sessions to ensure that all training is defined, completed, and tracked in accordance with an annual plan.• Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control, and administer risk and danger in own area

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred qualifications:• 2-3 years' experience in Environmental, Health & Safety industry or Associate Degree/progression towards a four (4) year degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline, or technical field. • Comprehensive understanding of industry, state, and country environmental, health, and safety requirements.• Must be very proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software and other database functions such as reporting and analysis.• Professional certification preferred (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent).• Experience with security operations is a plus• Fire Protection /Prevention Installation Knowledge.• Security system (CCTV) Knowledge.• Ergonomics knowledge.
Position Criteria:• High level of interpersonal skill to work effectively with others• Strong leadership skills, can lead their organization on a continuous of sustained improvement, including ability to manage large number of disparate projects and to track projects throughout completion.• Ability to lead and support cross-functional process improvement team
