EH&S/ESG Software Implementation Manager

Job Description

APTIM is looking for a EH S/ESG Software Implementation Manager to lead, scope, and coordinate environmental and ESG software implementation opportunities across APTIM's commercial client portfolio. This role is a key element of APTIM's growth strategy to expand our environmental, sustainability, resiliency, and climate change consultancy services to our customers. This position will assist clients implementing third-party EHS/ESG software to manage EHS compliance processes and/or ESG tracking. This work focuses on enterprise-level, multi-media software solutions. The position may involve a variety of activities engaging from solution design, system configuration and testing, data migration, training, and support.

We are looking for a strategic thinker and collaborative partner to build and leverage cross-functional relationships and bring together ideas, data, and insights to drive continuous improvement.

This person will engage with representatives across various internal departments to establish strong networks.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will primarily serve in a technical role on software implementation projects but will have routine interaction with clients and partners. The position will directly execute technical work as well as overseeing or coordinating technical work of other staff. Depending on the nature of a particular project, this may include any or all the following:

• Support efforts to assess client business needs and complete business process planning around the software solution.
• Participate in workshops with client personnel to guide the customer through the discovery and planning process.
• Support solution design activities within the software system. Effectively analyze the customer's business needs to determine and document a solution approach. Proactively assess benefits and pitfalls of competing design options. Develop detailed solution design.
• Plan, perform and oversee system configuration, report development, and/or data migration activities.
• Advocate and ensure quality delivery through planning, executing, and/or overseeing appropriate system testing, quality checks, and client acceptance testing.
• Assess with development of training materials and/or deliver client training.
• Provide ongoing client support and troubleshooting following solution deployment.

Required Experience and Skills:

• BS in civil/environmental/chemical engineering, environmental science, computer science, or similar degree from accredited program.
• 4-8 years' experience with EHS compliance, sustainability, or information systems implementation; completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
• Preferred candidate will have familiarity with one or more of the following: advanced Excel functionality; relational database concepts; database query language (e.g., SQL); Visual Basic or other programming languages/concepts; BI or other reporting tools; and/or software delivery lifecycle concepts.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
