Your Responsibilities
As an Electric Drive Architect for Construction & Forestry located in Dubuque, IA, you will...

• Lead cross-functional team to define and develop electrification system architectures for construction and forestry vehicles
• Develop and integrate emerging technologies into vehicle electrification solutions to meet customer and business needs
• Support the electric drives team through the development process of electric drive solutions
• Serve as a technical leader for the electric drive team
• Engage with cross-functional and enterprise-wide teams to leverage common solutions that meet system cost, quality, and performance requirements

What Skills You Need

• 7 or more years of previous engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work on electrification systems
• Knowledge in all areas of electric drive systems including e-machines, inverters, cables/connectors, and batteries
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues
• Proven ability to define electrification system or component specifications
• Proven ability to model power electronic systems or components
• Demonstrated success in leading and executing complex electrification system development projects

What Makes You Stand Out

• Advanced degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Expert knowledge in 1 or more areas of electric drive systems including e-machines, inverters, cables/connectors, and batteries
• Expert knowledge of control systems theory and applications
• Knowledge of Deere SW development processes
• Knowledge of electrical systems on construction, forestry, or agricultural equipment
• Proven ability to mentor others

Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a relevant discipline
